What is Eligify?

Eligify brings customers into local stores. Stores create offers; partner apps and websites hand them out as free rewards; customers redeem them at the counter. Stores pay only when a customer actually walks in and redeems.

Eligify is run by Techlift Digital (Eligify).

Does Eligify lend money or hold my money?

Accepted Answer

No. Eligify doesn’t lend, and doesn’t hold customers’ money. Where we refer someone to a bank or NBFC, it’s only with their consent, and the lender makes every decision. Store credit is held by the store you paid, for use at that store only.

Question 3

How do I start?

1. Sign in with your business email (we send you a one-time code; there’s no password).
2. Verify your business: details, documents, and the people who own or run it. It takes about 10 minutes.
3. Add your store locations.
4. Create an offer and add credits.

Once Eligify approves your verification and your offer, partners start handing out your coupons.

Why do I need to verify my business and its owners?

Indian KYC rules require us to confirm a business is genuine, and to verify the people who own and run it, before it can offer rewards through us. It also protects customers from fake offers.

Each person gets their own secure link and uploads their documents themselves. Only Eligify’s verification team sees those documents; you don’t.

How long does verification take?

Usually one working day after everything is submitted. If we need something else, we email you a list and you can fix it with the same link.

Can my staff use the portal?

Yes. Add them on the Team page as a manager (runs campaigns and stores) or a cashier (redeems coupons and takes store credit payments, only at the stores you assign). Only the owner sees billing.

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Nothing to sign up or run offers. For each coupon redeemed at your counter you pay 2% of what the customer pays after your discount, or ₹10, whichever is higher, plus 18% GST.

For example: customer pays ₹300 → ₹10; ₹1,000 → ₹20; ₹2,500 → ₹50 (all plus GST).

Your discount is your own cost; Eligify only charges the fee. Large businesses can ask for volume pricing or a cap per walk-in.

Is the percentage on the full bill or after the discount?

After the discount: on the money you actually receive from the customer. You’re never charged on the discount you gave.

How do credits work?

You prepay credits by bank transfer or UPI and send us the payment reference; credits are added within one working day with a GST invoice. Each redemption deducts its fee from your credits.

Every coupon a customer already holds sets aside the minimum fee, so it can always be honoured. When the rest runs out, partners pause handing out your coupons until you top up. Coupons already handed out still work.

Why is my credit balance below zero?

Coupons set aside only the minimum fee; the percentage part is charged when the coupon is redeemed, because that’s when the bill is known. A few large bills can take you slightly below zero. New coupons pause until you top up; nothing else is affected.

What if a redemption was a mistake or fraud?

Find it on the Walk-ins page and choose “Report a problem”. Eligify reviews the case with its full record. If the redemption shouldn’t have counted, it’s cancelled and the fee goes back to your credits.

What is a campaign?

Accepted Answer

An offer (flat ₹ off, % off, or a free item) with its rules: who it’s for, when it’s valid, how many coupons to give out, and terms. Partners hand out its coupons; you pay only when one is redeemed.

Question 13

Can I target only new customers, or bring back old ones?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose who the offer is for: everyone, only people who have never visited, returning customers (with at least N visits), or customers who haven’t been back for a number of days. Customers are recognised by their verified email, across partner apps.

Why is my campaign “In review”?

Accepted Answer

Eligify checks every campaign before it goes live, usually within one working day, so terms are clear and fair to customers. If something needs changing, you’ll see what on the campaign page.

Can I pause or stop a campaign?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time. Pausing stops new coupons going out. Coupons customers already hold stay valid until they expire, because they were promised to them.

How does my cashier redeem a coupon?

1. Tap Redeem and scan the customer’s QR code (or type the code).
2. Enter the bill amount; the discount is worked out for you.
3. The customer receives a one-time code by email and tells it to the cashier.
4. Confirm. The discount and fee are recorded, and the customer gets a receipt.

Why does the customer need a one-time code?

It proves the person at your counter really holds the coupon, so shared screenshots or stolen codes can’t be used, and you aren’t charged for fake walk-ins.

Why was a coupon refused?

Accepted Answer

The screen says why. Common reasons: the bill is below the offer’s minimum, it’s outside the offer’s days or hours, the coupon has expired or was already used, the offer isn’t valid at this store, or the customer reached a daily limit (to stop abuse, one person can redeem a limited number of coupons per day).

What is store credit?

Customers can leave money with your store and spend it on later visits, like a prepaid tab. It’s usable only at your store, can’t be withdrawn as cash or transferred, and the customer gets an email for every top-up and payment.

Does store credit expire?

Accepted Answer

Money a customer paid stays valid for at least 365 days from their last top-up. Bonus credit you give for free can have a shorter validity (7 to 365 days). Customers are emailed 7 days before anything expires.

How does bonus credit work?

Accepted Answer

You can give bonus credit, for example “top up ₹1,000 and get ₹100 free”. You choose how much of any bill bonus can pay (say 20%), so it brings people back without replacing paid sales. Bonus is used before paid money, soonest-expiring first.

How is store credit protected?

Accepted Answer

Every payment needs a code sent to the customer’s email. Balances have limits (₹10,000 paid, ₹5,000 bonus), every change is recorded, and a wallet is locked automatically if its records ever disagree.

How do I use a coupon I won?

Accepted Answer

Visit the store before the coupon expires and show its QR code at the billing counter. You’ll get a one-time code by email; tell it to the cashier. The discount comes off your bill.

Do I pay anything?

No. Coupons are free for customers. The store pays Eligify a small fee when you redeem.

Question 25

I got a code I didn’t ask for. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Don’t share it with anyone. Without the code, nobody can use your coupon or store credit. If it keeps happening, write to grievance@eligify.in.

How do partners earn?

Accepted Answer

Add real, local rewards to your app or website with the Voucher API. When one of your users redeems in a store, you earn 40% of the fee Eligify charges the store.

How are partner integrations secured?

Accepted Answer

Each partner gets API keys limited to the actions it needs. Requests are signed, can’t be replayed, and are idempotent, so a retried request never issues a coupon twice.

How do you protect identity documents?

Accepted Answer

Documents are encrypted on our servers before they’re stored, and identity numbers (PAN, date of birth, address) are encrypted in our database. Only authorised verification officers can open a document, and every view is logged. We keep them only as long as the law requires.

What are my rights over my data?

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what we hold about you and who it was shared with, have it corrected or erased when no longer needed, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you.

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@eligify.in. We respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Can I withdraw consent during verification?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the verification page itself, until the case is decided. We stop the verification and erase the files you uploaded. After a decision, write to our Grievance Officer.
